About Julie

Julie Bronstein is an experienced nonprofit leader, education advocate, and mother of two current San Dieguito Union High School District students and one proud SDUHSD graduate. 

A graduate of Scripps College with a master’s degree in Public Administration from USC, Julie has spent the past three decades working in non-profit organizations focused on health, education, and community improvement. As Executive Director of Development at UC San Diego, she manages the Health Board of Advisors and fundraises for Health Sciences. Julie also serves as a volunteer Advisor for the Autism Tree Project Foundation. She previously worked as the Executive Director of the La Jolla Community Foundation (an affiliate of The San Diego Foundation).

Julie’s experience working with SDUHSD schools includes her current position as VP of Development on the board of the Canyon Crest Academy (CCA) Foundation and previous work as the parent representative for the CCA COVID Safety Process and as a WASC Accreditation Process Community Focus Group member for CCA in the 2018 – 2019 academic year. 

Julie grew up in San Diego, and she and her family have lived in Carmel Valley for the past 16 years.
